Dr. Derling
Dr. Michael Derling, BVMS (he/him) is originally from Ocean County, NJ. Prior to moving to Philadelphia in 2014, Dr. Derling earned his undergraduate degree in NYC from Fordham College Lincoln Center. Later moving to the United Kingdom, where he qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 2022 from the University of Edinburgh.
Dr. Derling is excited to be practicing, and living, again in PA, but still holds a fond place in his heart for international travel and volunteering. Past vet-med related journeys include spay/neuter clinics in Spain, India and Jamaica, externships with farm animal species in Israel, France and Ireland, as well as a research project with Elephants in South Africa.
Outside of his professional career, he enjoys spending time on the beach, chilling with his cat Chicken & dog Rufus, as well as taking in the Philadelphia food scene, and supporting the arts as a frequent patron and vocal performer.
